real techniques powder brush

 REAL TECHNIQUES POWDER BRUSH £10.99

I am sure everyone must had heard of Real Techniques brushes, they are just amazing! They have been designed by one of the Pixiwoo sisters, Samantha Chapman.  The quality of the brushes is really good, all of them are really soft. Real Techniques brushes are all make with synthetic hair which makes them 100% cruelty-free.

The powder brush is just amazing in size, softness and the amount of product it picks up.  Some of the powder brushes I used before had starched my face, every time I used them, not like actually starch, but they been harsh on the skin. I love having a good sized powder brush, large brushes make my life easier, as you just need two moves. I also like to use this brush to blend out blusher/bronzer/highlighter on my cheeks, works really well when I apply too much of a certain product, then I take a bit of powder and blend it in. The one negative thing is that I am not a big fan of the large black handle at bottom of the brush, as it takes up so much space in my make-up brushes holder, but overall I really love the brushes.

In my opinion good brushes are must have. I am not a owner of any MAC brushes, and to be honest I don't really feel like I need them at the moment. I am more than happy with my Real Techniques brushes, as they are really good quality and definitely worth the money. I can't wait to get my paws on the eye kit, I recently have became a happy owner of the core kit, so far I love it.

current top 5 nail polishes

MODELS OWN NAIL POLISH in PASTEL PINK,  TOPSHOP NAIL POLISH in LACQUERED, ESSIE NAIL POLISH in MADEMOISELLE, BARRY M GELLY HI-SHINE in POMEGRANATE, BARRY M GELLY HI-SHINE in LYCHEE

Love having a pretty colour on my nails, don't we all do? I am not really picky when it's comes to nail polish brands, as I think we have an amazing range of different nail polish brands on the high street in UK. Recently I liked wearing nudes and pastels colours on my nails, but as it's getting colder I tend to reach for darker colours more often.

Models Own has an amazing colour range, Pastel Pink is a pretty light pink. It's not sheer, it's actually well pigmented you need around two coats to have a good coverage. Every girl need a red nail polish in her collection in my opinion, it's such a classic. Topshop Nail Polish in Lacquered is a lovely deep red. You could easily just apply one coat, as the nail polish is really well pigmented. I really like Topshop nail polishes brushes, as they have a great size. Essie Nail Polish in Mademoiselle is the most amazing sheer pink, it's almost clear but it does add a hint of pink to the nails. I normally apply around 3coats to have a nicer colour, it's amazing to use while doing a french manicure. I personally really like sheer nail polishes.  Barry M Hi-Shine in Pomegranate is a gorgeous vibrant pink-red. The Barry M Hi-Shine consistency is thick and it's supposed to create an effect of gel nails. The Pomegranate is really highly pigmented, you just need one coat, so it's great to use when you don't have a lot of time to wait around until one coat will dry. Barry M Hi-Shine in Lychee wasn't my favourite at the beginning, recently I had fallen in love with the gorgeous nude shade, as I feel it's different than the other nude, not sure why.

sunday portrait 57

001. I just wanted to do this post forever! The last Sunday Portrait I done was in March, that was so long ago. Slowly getting back into blogging, I need to manage my time in a better way. Currently I am at Uni and I am also working, this is hard, but I am guess I am doing good. On top of that I also had signed up for gym and I am loving it, so I will have to make some time for everything. Need more hours in the day, wish that was possible. Luckily the Christmas Holidays are round the corner. Going back to my point, I would like to set myself a routine and post more often, as I have so many products I would like to let you know about. So many empties posts to be done, now I am feeling like I am using everything up and I can finally buy everything from my wishlist.

002. My life is a bit hectic, but slowly everything starting to work out. I finally bought my first car! I am so proud of my baby. Drives like a dream. Already manged to get my first ticket *sobs*, the money could had been spend on something better than the ticket.

003. Recently had a hair cut and I got into haircare. If you have any product recommendation please feel free to let me know what's good. I also need a good night cream, my skin is really dehydrated at the moment. New foundation is needed as well, damn so may things I need (well I don't, but I want). I am also planning to change my skincare, I want to try out different products, from different brands, as I don't feel like the products I am using at the moment work for my skin. Feel free to let me know about your favourite skincare products.

004. Hopefully you all had a lovely weekend, I would also like to ask you what you planning to do for new years, I don't have any ideas. If you don't mind I would love to find out what you're planning to do.

revlon colorstay foundation

Forever trying out new foundation, even thought I already have few favourites, I still want to try out more! I think I am a foundationholic, does something like that even exists? Anyways I like medium to full coverage foundation, unless I have good skin day I will use  lighter coverage foundation or bb cream.

I always liked Revlon foundation Photoready is still the one which I like. I admire Estee Lauder Double Wear during winter time and when I heard that ColorStay is similar I just had to try it out. The coverage is really similar, but I feel like Double Wear lasts a bit longer on the face, whereas ColorStay lasts for around 6hours and then it slowly starts to disappear from the face. Its medium to full coverage, the scent is also very pleasant not paint like, but more floral? I really love the colour match as it works with my pale complexion really well. Sometimes when I want lighter and more glowing coverage I mix it with Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. I would also recommend mixing the foundation with cream when you want lighter coverage. One annoying thing about the foundation is that it doesn't have a pump, well it's not the end of the world, but I just like when a foundation has a pump.

Normally I tend  to reach for high end foundation more often, but to be honest there are lots of great lower end foundations. Revlon ColorStay is definitely worth a try, there are two formulas, one for Oily/Combination skin and for Dry/Normal. I think that the lightest shade is perfect for pale girls. Have any of you had a chance to try out Revlon ColorStay, what do you think?

things i've bought 9

MARC JACOBS DAISY PERFUME, L'OREAL NUDE MAGIQUE FOUNDATION*, ANTIPODES AURA MANUKA HONEY MASK*, ANTIPODES JULIET SKIN BRIGHTENING GEL CLEANSER*, URBAN DECAY GOOD KARMA CREASE BRUSH, URBAN DECAY NAKED BASIC PALETTE, MUA COLOUR BLAST EYESHADOW TINT in STAY* & LOUD*, MAC LIPSTICK in CANDY YUM YUM & IMPASSIONED, CLARINS COLOUR QUENCH LIP BALM in 03 CANDY PINK

We all have to be a little naughty from time to time, well I am naughty more often, my poor bank account. There are so many things I still want! To be honest I blame other bloggers, whenever I see their monthly favourites, hauls and other post I keep on adding more products to my wishlist.

I recently went on a weekend away to Poland and I bought one of my favourite perfume duty-free, Marc Jacobs Daisy, just love the scent in my opinion it's great to use during the day as it's not that strong. L'Oreal Nude Magique Foundation* this foundation is just amazing! I am still amazed by how the formula changes once you apply it on your face and the small bottle is amazing for traveling. A face mask is always welcomed, the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask* was on my wishlist for so long, I've read so many positive reviews, so happy that now I have the chance to try it out myself. Antipodes Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser* I am really excited to try it out, at first I thought it is in a glass bottle and I kept on thinking how difficult it would be to pour out the right amount, but it's actually in a plastic bottle and it's really easy to use. As well as it smells amazing! Urban Decay is one of my favourite brand for eyeshadow, I am also amazed by the Urban Decay Good Karma Crease Brush, it's so soft! Great for blending out eyeshadow in the crease. I already done a review of the Urban Decay Naked Basic Palette, you can read it here. MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tint in  Stay* is a great shade to use as a eyeshadow base, as the colour is really pale, Loud* is not really my cup of tea, but from time to time we all got to experiment with different colours, am I wrong? Ahh MAC lipsticks, I am sucker for them! I love the colours, well I love everything about MAC lipsticks, except the price £14?! Any colours you recommend? Clarins Colour Quench Lip Balm in 03 Candy Pink I finally got my hand on it and I must say that I already love it! I want more shades.

Planning to do a blog update post, possibly on Friday, as well as a life update post.

origins zero oil deep pore cleanser

Skincare products are my favourite to try, I just love when my skin is in good condition, but I tend to stick to using to the same products, as my skin doesn't really like lots of different products. I really love Origins products, their face masks are just amazing!

This face wash also contains salicylic acid, which is great for reducing pore size and helping reduce blackheads. I am suffering with really bad blackheads on my nose and I had some hopes that this will help, but I didn't really notice any improvement. Although my pores did became almost unnoticeable, but that may be because my pores are actually really small in size, pretty much almost invisible, but from time to time they do open up, when I use the wrong product. The cleanser helped me to control the breakouts around the chin.   The smell is really fresh, love using it in the morning, I love the minty smell, which doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry. The cleanser does foam up really nicely.

I do really like the product, but I had higher hopes towards it. I am sure that Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser have lots of fans, but I just didn't really fall in love with it, but bare in mind skincare may vary for everyone, overall I would recommend trying it out, who knows this could be your lifesaver.

october favourites

MAC MINERALIZE SKINFINISH IN LIGHTSCAPADE, L'OREAL NUDE MAGIQUE FOUNDATION, MARC JACOBS DAISY, O.P.I NAIL ENVY TREATMENT, BOURJOIS NAIL POLISH in 26 BLUE NO BLUES

I can't believe it's almost the end of the year! The months are passing by so fast. This month I kept on using the same products, didn't really test anything new other than foundation. I finally got back into using highlighter, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade is just amazing, I love it on my cheeks bones, the shimmer is really delicate and safe to use during the day. I just couldn't resit and I just had to try out the new L'Oreal Nude Magique Foundation and I must say it's amazing! I seriously don't understand how does the formula change, it's very watery at first, but once you apply it on your face it turns very creamy. I also really like the fact that the colour match my skin tone really well. I went back to using one of my favourite perfumes Marc Jacobs Daisy, I love the smell. To be honest I am really bad at describing scents, not sure how to do that. I also really like Daisy bottle. O.P.I Nail Envy Treatment my nails were in such a terrible state, Nail Envy is my life saver. My nails don't break as much as they did before, as well as they finally started growing! The Bourjois Nail Polish in 26 Blue no Blues is such a pretty colour on the nails. To be honest I never really liked blue toned nail polishes on my nails, but I just love Blue no Blues on my nails. The Bourjois nail polish have a good size brush.

products i've used up 6

BENEFIT THEY'RE REAL MASCARA, L'OREAL TELESCOPIC MASCARA, CHANEL INIMITABLE INTENSE MASCARA, RIMMEL DAY 2 NIGHT MASCARA, COLLECTION 2000 CONCEALER, SMASHBOX PHOTOREADY PRIMER, LA ROCHE POSAY EFFACLAR DUO, REVLON NEARY NAKED FOUNDATION, SUPER DR. NICHOLAS PERRICONE BRIGHT EYE CREAM, THE BODY SHOP PEACH BODY BUTTER, LA ROCHE POSAY 30SPF ANTHELIOS AC, CAUDALIE MAKE-UP REMOVER CLEANSING WATER, TONI&GUY CLEANSE SHAMPOO FOR DRY HAIR

It's feels so good when you use up products and you can try out new products. As I share most of body/hair care products with my mum, those which are in the bathroom sometimes get straight thrown in the bin, so I can't show you everything, as my mum just doesn't understand these kind of posts. I finally decided to throw away all of dry out mascaras, which I thought could still be used.

Benefit They're Real Mascara was a great one, but it just didn't give me the "wow" effect. I am aware that many love it, but I just felt like it's average. I liked it for layering on top of another mascara. I did like it more when it slightly dried out. L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara is my all time favorite! I just love how much length it adds to my lashes, as well as the small plastic wand didn't stick my lashes together. I already had re-purchase it. Chanel Initimable Intense Mascara is another favorite of mine, I've done a full review on it, you can read it here. Will re-purchase in future. Rimmel Day 2 Night Mascara wasn't as great as I expected. It have stuck my lashes together, I didn't achieve as much volume as I wanted, it just didn't work with my lashes too well.

We all like a good coverage under our eyes, Collection 2000 Concealer (now Collection) is amazing, but I had the wrong shade, it was way too pale for my skintone, lesson learned. It was great to brighten my under eye area. Smashbox Photoready Primer is a great one, but I am not planning to re-purchase it, as in my opinion is not worth the price tag and there are a lot better primers out there. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo is a great product to control breakouts, I just love using it in the morning, I don't use it twice a day because I feel like that will be too much for the skin. I would recommend using something really moisturising for nighttime. I love trying out new foundations, but I need to promise to myself that I will not buy new foundation before I won't use up one. Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation is amazing, the coverage and colour match is amazing! It was amazing to use during the summer, one thing that really annoys me, is that it doesn't have a pump, but other than that I love it. La Roche Posay 30SPF Anthelios AC great summer product, it's actually great to use as a make-up base, but once it got near my eyes became watery, was a pain when I was trying to apply mascara, but other than that it was great, I will definitely re-purchase it. The Body Shop Peach Body Butter great scent to use during summer, I love all body butter, although I do prefer to use them at night time, I find Body Shop Body Butters to heavy to use after a morning shower. Claudie Make-up Remover Cleansing Water it often been compared to the Bioderma and I must agree both products a very similar. I love the smell of Claudie Cleansing water, it's great to remove any left-over make-up. Will be writing up a full review of it soon. Toni&Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Dry Hair this shampoo kept on leaving my hair very soft and smooth, but I didn't really felt like it actually had washed out all of the products build up. Not sure why, but the scent isn't really my cup of tea either. Not planning to re-purchase any time soon. Hope you enjoyed the post.

urban decay naked basics palette

I love both of my Naked palettes, so I felt like I needed to give the Basics Palette a go too. Recently I been really into minimal make-up look, mostly mascara on the eyes only, but I like to apply matte neutral eyeshadow on the lids, so I will have even colour on my eye lids. Before I used to be obsessed with glittery eyeshadows, well I still am, but during the day I just want to wear minimal make-up.

In my opinion Urban Decay have an amazing pigmented eyeshadows and there is something for everyone. I personality love applying Walk of Shame all over the lid, then on top I like to add delicate shimmer such as Venus, in the crease I apply Faint, which is also great for filling in the eye brows. Crave is very pigmented black, I like to use it on my lower lash line, as an "eyeliner". Although there are 3 pale matte colours, which a very similar to each other in colour, wish that they could gradually have different tones of browns, for example from the lightest to the darkest. As we don't really need 4 base colours. I really like the small packaging, as it's great for travel, but I think I will also need to take another palette if I would travel, so I could have a bigger range of colours. Love the suede feeling when you touch the palette.

This palette may not be everyone cup of tea, but I personally really like it and I will definitely be reaching for it on regular basic. Have any of you bought this palette? What are your thoughts on it? Overall do you like any of the Naked palettes?

sanctuary facial care

I love trying out new facial products, as I really like taking care of my skincare. Once you have amazing "base" you don't need to wear a lot of make-up. I really love Sanctuary Spa body products, as all smell so amazing! While browsing at Boots I came across their skincare products, Boots also was doing the 3for2 at that time. These three products really caught my eye, so I have decided to try them out. Recently my skin have been suffering with really bad breakouts, so I tried everything to control the breakouts.

Sanctuary 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask, whenever I use this mask my skin looks so much better! Before applying this mask I always use the Sanctuary Exfoliating Pore Refiner, just exfoliate my skin, so the mask would work a lot better. Before applying the mask I also slightly wet my face, so the mask would be a lot easier to apply over slightly damped face. When you rub the mask in between your hands you can feel the heat, you can also feel it once applying on face. I normally keep the mask on for around 10minutes, just to make sure it will work better. I like to apply it before going to bed, on the next day I will wake up with few new pimples, but in my opinion they are just the dirt the facial mask have removed from under the skin, if that makes any sense. The other spots I had on the night before, appear much more smaller the next day, my skin also feels a lot more softer.

Sanctuary Exfoliating Pore Refiner, this is a creamy exfoliating facial wash with little blue particles. I firstly apply a hot cloth on my face to open up the pores, then I gently exfoliate my skin. I tend to use this exfoliator twice a week, as I notice when I been using it more often my skin became more sensitive. I don't really suffer with large open pores, but from time to time my pores just appear larger, and this exfoliator helps me to control them a lot. The face scrub also contains salicylic acid to protect against the bacteria that causes skin blemishes, it also contains seaweed which is used to balance out the skin oil levels. The smell is very fresh and I like it a lot.

Sanctuary Radiance Exfoliator, this is the most amazing smelling product to use in the morning! I like to use it in the morning as it's makes me feel more awake, the fresh scent is really lovely. I been using it pretty much on daily basic and it doesn't do any harm to my skin. The skin is very soft after use. I really like the little exfoliating particles as they do their job really well.

Overall each product costs £10.50, but in my opinion all are worth every penny! As all are amazing. I also must mention that I really like the slim tall packaging, as they don't take up a lot of space in the bathroom.

things i've bought 8

MAYBELLINE BABY LIPS in MINT FRESH and CHERRY ME, VO5 CURL DEFINING MOUSE, VO5 DRY TEXTURSING SPRAY, SOAP AND GLORY SUGAR CRUSH BODY WASH, NAILS INC. EATON DRY SKIN EXFOLIATOR, SANCTUARY DEEP CLEANSE FACIAL WASH, JESSICA ZENSPA MINT MASQUE, BUMBLE AND BUMBLE SURF SPRAY, ORIGINS CLEAR IMPROVEMENTS FACE MASK, ESSIE MADEMOISELLE NAIL POLISH, VIVO SHIMMER BLOCK BRONZER* and BLUSHER*

Been naughty again and done lots of shopping recently. That's how I save money. I have so many empties, will soon do post on them. I finally got my hands on the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash, I love the smell and I really like the scrub as well. The Maybelline Baby Lips are new in UK and their are very popular around bloggers, so I couldn't resist not trying them out. Anything that will give me a better "bed head" hair look I will try, the BB surf spray was on my wishlist for so long! I am actually surprised as I kept on thinking it's in a glass bottle. The Vo5 Textursing Spray just sound interesting, so I've decided to try it out. You can't never have enough facial products, am I right? I love searching for something new, the Sanctuary Deep Cleanse Facial Wash is currently on offer in Boots, so I decided to give it a go. The Origins Clear Improvements Face Mask was also on my wish list for very long and I already had used it, I already really like it. Taking care of the feet as well, I decided to try out few bits for the feet. Well your feet also need a masque, Jessica Mint Masque can't wait to give my feet a pampering session. Essie Mademoiselle is such a pretty every day clear nude! I just love it. The Vivo Shimmer Bricks* look so lovely, can't wait to try them out!

philosophy purity cleanser

Facial Cleansers are one of my favorite products to try out, I just love finding something that will work well with my skin, as well as it would take care of it. The Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser claims to be a 3-in-1 gel which removes all traces of make up. It did worked well with my skin, but it also did cause breakouts around my chin. I must say it's a lovely cleanser to use, but just didn't work well with my skin. I didn't feel like it is good enough to remove all  traces of make-up from my skin. I do love how fresh this smells, the smell is just amazing! I would love something similar smelling, as an body wash, any recommendations? I also really like the small practical for traveling packaging. I really enjoyed using the Purity cleanser with my Clarsonic, then I actually felt like my skin is very well cleansed.

Overall I did really like the product, but I probably won't re-purchase unless it's on a offer or something. What's your favourite facial cleansing product?

bumble and bumble mending shampoo & conditioner

Not long ago I decided to re-ombre my hair and my hair got even more drier, so I got myself really into haircare. I been using the bb mending shampoo & conditioner since February, so I gave it a fair amount of time to try out. I am very picky when it's comes to shampoos as I have very sensitive scalps, so I normally look for one which would be moisturising and rich. I have very dry and damage hair overall, they also tend to go frizzy.

The bumble and bumble mending shampoo is actually a average shampoo, I don't really feel like it have made any difference to my hair, it have just worked in the same way as most shampoos which I use, but I must say that it's works really well with my scalps. In my opinion the shampoo does lightly clean, what I mean by that is that I won't do a deeply clean out all of the dirt from the hair.  Normally I have to wash my hair every 2-3days, after using this shampoo my hair feel greasy and oily on the next day. Not going to lie the shampoo is expensive, so I did have high expectation for it. However the conditioner is amazing! Leaves my hair feeling really soft and healthier looking. My hair are less frizzy whenever I use it. I like to use the conditioner with other shampoos. I normally keep it on my hair for around 3 minutes. I am really temped to try the bb mending complex, have any of you had a chance to try it out? Wish that both products could have a nicer scent, which will linger for longer on the hair.

welcome back?!

It's been forever since I last wrote a post. Ah, I missed typing so much. Where have I been?! To be honest I don't know what made me stop blogging, but I think that the long break have charged me up and I finally feel like coming back. I was planning to do a big come back with new blog design etc, but I just couldn't wait any longer, so many beauty products which are screaming to get attention, in a form of blog review. Lovely Abby, will be re-designing my blog, can't wait! I have so many ideas for new blog posts. Now all I have to do is actually get everything together and start working. I feel so much better that I will have my blog back in my life.

My life is going to change a lot within a month time, but it's an exciting change. I am starting UNI, I will be moving out of my family home, leaving on my own excites me. For now I am enjoying my summer holidays, I will try my best to be very active on my blog, I will go through all of my emails, as well as reply to all the comments I received in the pasts months. Feels so good to be back!

chanel inimitable intense mascara

Mascaras is my second favourite product to test after foundation. Each mascara gives a different effect. I mostly like mascaras with small plastic wands, L'Oreal Telescopic is currently my favourite, so is the Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara. I am not a fan of very wet mascaras, as they take forever to dry on my lashes, and normally I always do need to cough, then I am left with panda eyes, how annoying.

Inimitable Intense mascara has such a amazing brush, as well as formula. The brush separates the lashes so well, as well as it doesn't stick/clump the lashes together when you apply more than one coat. The mascara does add length, as well as volume once you layer it. One coat will give you very natural lashes look, I personally like really dramatic eyelashes look. The mascara is supposed to give curl, but I can't really comment on that, as my natural lashes are straight, even when I use eyelashes curler, the curl doesn't last long. If you have any tips how to make eyelashes curl last longer, please share your tips. It is very black, I haven't notice any flaking. Although as my left eye is always watery it does smudge a little in the corner of my eye, but that happens with every mascara, not sure why I still refuse to buy waterproof mascara. I like the fact that this mascara is very easy to remove at the end of the day.

The mascara is very expensive do I would recommend trying to get a sample of it, just like I did before buying the full size. I will definitely repurchase it. I must say that I like using it with L'Oreal Telescopic together, it's the best combination I tried so far.
